Cosmic Bummer is a garage punk band consisting of David Kumler and a handful of proverbial hats. In 2020, after over a decade of performing and releasing music under various monikers, Kumler introduced the world to Cosmic Bummer, a musical experiment that, much like the philosophy of Simon Critchley, begins in disappointment. Cosmic Bummer's first release, EP, blends Kumler's pop sensibilities with a heavy dose of Stoogy proto-punk snarl. EP is, as medical doctor and humanist Ortolan Bunting describes it, like a gasping screech of frustration echoing through a cruel and meaningless void.
