Nonlethal Weapons is a noise techno project. Inspired by experimental artists like Container, Pink Siifu, and Muslimgauze—and drawing on genres ranging from post-punk and hardcore to techno and lofi hip hop—Nonlethal Weapons uses distorted 909s, granular synthesis, choral samples, and atmospheric vocals to create an abrasive yet groovy politically-infused electronica. Nonlethal Weapons also performs live, largely improvised hardware sets. Nonlethal Weapons second album, All the Universities Have Been Destroyed, is due out August 23 via Deathrage Records.
