Foxxxy Mulder is a cross-country collaboration of Kori Hensell and David Kumler. The project began when Kori came to Seattle for a visit and David bought a 45 of Billy Idol’s “Eyes Without a Face” at a thrift store. They listened to the record slowed to 33 rpm and were forever changed. They recorded a slowed down, fuzzed-out cover of the track, which they released in 2016, and people seemed to like it. Soon they began recording more songs long-distance, sending Logic files back and forth, ultimately churning out enough material for their debut EP, Premarital Hex. Their first full-length record, Heretic, was released in 2018. In 2020, Foxxxy Mulder released #312371(, a full album kludged together largely by sampling Heretic. Foxxxy Mulder's follow up to Heretic, 6 song EP titled Controlled Collapse, was released on June 4, 2021.
